Built to Heal. Called to Serve.
God is opening a door of healing for the Shinyanga Region of Tanzania. A new, fully equipped polyclinic — staffed, Christ-centered, and built for generations — is rising from faith, prayer, and a community that refused to stop believing. "Heal the sick who are there and tell them, "The kingdom of God has come near to you."" — Luke 10:9 (ESV)

When There Is No Place to Go
In the Shinyanga Region of Tanzania, sickness does not wait for help to arrive. For families in this semi-arid, rural landscape, the nearest reliable medical care can mean hours of travel — over roads that become impassable in the rainy season — to reach a facility that may not have the equipment or staff to treat them. Women die in childbirth. Children suffer from treatable conditions. A diagnosis that would be routine in a city becomes a death sentence in a village. And too often, people turn to harmful traditional treatments because there is simply nowhere else to go. The Shinyanga Lutheran Dispensary has served this community for decades, offering basic outpatient care. But the need has always exceeded the capacity. God sees what is missing here. And He is about to change it.
God's Plan: A Christ-Centered Polyclinic
The vision is clear: transform the existing Shinyanga Lutheran Dispensary into a fully equipped, professionally staffed polyclinic — a place where the sick are healed and the Kingdom of God is proclaimed, just as Jesus instructed. This is not a building project. It is a Kingdom project. Every examination room, every surgical suite, every labor and delivery bay is an act of obedience to the One who said, "Heal the sick." And every patient who walks through these doors will encounter not only medicine, but the love of Christ. The South East of Lake Victoria Diocese (SELVD) of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania has already taken a step of extraordinary faith, providing land near the diocesan cathedral as the site for this new facility. This is not Seed Time Harvest's project alone — it is the Church of Tanzania and the Church of America working together under the same Lord.
“God opened this door. We are simply walking through it together — the Church in Tanzania and the Church in America, side by side.” — Cheryl Kruckemeyer, Founder, STHKP Inc.

Built on Partnership, Grounded in Faith
This project is the fruit of a relationship years in the making. The South East of Lake Victoria Diocese (SELVD) of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania stands alongside Seed Time Harvest as a full partner in this work. Their gift of land — situated near the diocesan cathedral in Shinyanga — is a declaration of faith in what God is about to do. STHKP Inc. brings donor relationships, healthcare management experience, and a proven track record of faithful stewardship. SELVD brings local credibility, community relationships, and an already-established presence in the region. Together, we are building something neither could build alone. This is the Body of Christ functioning as it was designed to — different members, one purpose, one Lord. Partner Organization: South East of Lake Victoria Diocese (SELVD) — Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania

Built to Last: A Self-Sustaining Model
This polyclinic is not designed to be dependent on outside support forever. From day one, it will operate on a professional, sustainable business model — structured to cover its own operational costs through patient fees, and to grow over time. Contractual agreements with Tanzania's National Health Insurance Fund and private insurance companies will ensure consistent patient flow. Revenues will be reinvested into staff salaries, facility maintenance, and expanded services. The goal: a polyclinic that serves the Shinyanga Region for generations, independent of ongoing grant support. This is faithful stewardship. We are not building a dependency — we are planting a seed that will keep bearing fruit long after the first gifts have been given.
